Daybook Entry 10/2/13

Daybook Entry 10/2/13

This entry talks about how commercials are essentially influencing people's viewpoints about buying products. I give my opinion that both commercials are fueling people and people are fueling the advertising field. I chose this entry because I feel that the points I made concerning media were very thoughtful in regards to how people are also causing a shift within the market and advertisement.

Daybook Entry 9/16/13

The reason I chose this entry is because it shows my thoughts about peer revising after reading about it. I talked about the differences between my experiences with peer editing in high school and peer revising in our English class. I think doing proper revisions are very important because if the writer does not receive proper feedback, it becomes harder to produce a well-written and revised essay.

Daybook Entry 9/5/13

Daybook Entry 9/5/13

This is an entry based on a reading assignment that we were given in class. I really liked reading about the writer's experience of not ever having a chance to do creative writing and constantly being underneath others as a minority in the English language. I chose this entry because I brought my own personal perspective into this entry about Sikhs being a minority in India.

Daybook Entry 9/4/13

Daybook Entry 9/4/13

This entry is based off a video that we watched about an African American and her struggles with a single story. Here, I wrote a response on my opinion about the dangers of a single story. I compared a single story to a stereotype and the controversy of nature v.s. nurture. I picked this entry because I address my opinions and way of thinking about a single story.
